Cart to Cupboard participated in the 2010 Isanti Rodeo Parade. Volunteers had fun walking the parade route, throwing out candy, and giving out information. We got some great responses to our truck, and it was fun to get out and meet some new community members.

The Senior Activity Center hosted a volunteer tea. Volunteers for Cart to Cupboard and other ICCOA projects enjoyed treats and conversation while learning more about what goes on at SACS.

In November 2009, the Wild River Pioneers 4-H group met at the Senior Activities Center to make fleece blankets for Cart to Cupboard customers. The group donated their time and the fleece to make five blankets, and provided an additional four blankets that were pre-made. The group worked hard to complete the blankets and delivered them to the seniors.

In October 2009, Cart to Cupboard partnered with the youth and leaders of First Baptist Church in Cambridge to provide a day of free raking service for local seniors. The youth and their leaders came to the Senior Activity Center to learn about Cart to Cupboard and enjoy some treats. Then they split off to do raking work around the community. The volunteers filled 54 bags of leaves in all--two full loads in our Cart to Cupboard truck!

Thanks to these groups and our regular volunteers for giving their time to make a difference for local seniors! With their contributions we are well on our way to reaching our goal of 2,000 volunteer hours.
