
Cart to Cupboard serves older (60+) and disabled adults who live anywhere in Isanti County, MN.
We can work with individuals on a short-term basis, including during winter months or when recovering from an injury or illness.
Cart to Cupboard services are available to all eligible persons without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, sex, marital status, or disability.
Volunteers/staff will also put cold food in the customer's freezer/refrigerator, loosen caps, and put hard-to-open items in separate containers if desired.
Current order hours are weekdays, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. To place your order, call an order taker at 763-552-9222. If you prefer, you may email your order to carttocupboard.ils@gmail.com. You can use our order form (Excel file) to organize your order if you desire. Please call at least one day in advance of your expected delivery.
When you contact us with a delivery order or a service request, we will schedule a time for delivery or a time to come to your home. Contact us whenever you have a need and we will work with you!
Frozen meals are provided by Catholic Charities at a suggested contribution of $3.50 for persons age 60+. For persons under age 60, the meal rate is $7.00. No one over the age of 60 will be denied a meal based on inability to pay.
Contributions are encouraged for individuals receiving Cart to Cupboard services, at levels based on the actual cost of services.
Cart to Cupboard accepts a variety of payment options. We accept cash and check payments. If you need help paying for a service, please ask us about the availability of services supported by Older American's Act (OAA) funding that are provided on a voluntary contribution or sliding fee basis.

All collected contributions are used to expand the service and to supplement funds received under the OAA.
If you are under the Elderly Waiver Program (described below), any contribution may be covered. Please contact Isanti County at 763-689-1711 if you have questions about this program.
The Elderly Waiver program funds home and community-based services for people age 65 and older who are eligible for Medical Assistance and require the level of medical care provided in a nursing home, but choose to reside in the community. The Minnesota Department of Human Resources operates the program under a federal waiver to Minnesota's Medicaid State Plan. Counties administer the program.
Covered services include visits by a skilled nurse, home health aide, homemaker, companion, personal care assistant, as well as home-delivered meals, adult day care, supplies and equipment, home modifications, and certified community residential Services.

Alternative Care helps cover the costs of services for older Minnesotans, age 65 and older, who are at risk of nursing home placement and have low levels of income and assets. To qualify, a senior must go through a Long-Term Care Consultation and be assigned a case manager (county public health nurse or county social worker).
