Cart to Cupboard is a project of the Isanti County Commission on Aging (ICCOA), and we provide a variety of services that enable older and disabled adults in Isanti County to live independently in the home of their choice as long as possible.
Our first year of operation was a success, thanks to the Isanti County community members who support our mission. Based on your feedback, we made several changes to our services to better meet the needs of area seniors. We now provide services to seniors living anywhere in Isanti County. In addition to offering affordable delivery of groceries, frozen prepared meals, library and postal materials, and prescriptions, we also provide light housekeeping and chores in our bundled services, based on availability of volunteers.
If you or someone you know is interested in Cart to Cupboard's services, click on the contact us button on the left or click here for contact information. If you have any other questions or would just like to give us some feedback, we'd love to hear from you!
Everyone knows a senior. Everyone should know Cart to Cupboard!

We had fun at the Isanti Rodeo Parade and the Isanti community picnic sponsored by Community Pride Bank in July. We had a great response at both events, and many community members got to learn more about Cart to Cupboard. Over 1,100 hot dogs were given away at the picnic as visitors enjoyed fun events, lunch, and conversation with local organizations. Click here to see some more pictures.
Congratulations to ICCOA board member Lewis Leasure on being named one of Isanti County's Outstanding Seniors for 2010. Lewis works diligently for many local causes and is a frequent visitor to the Cart to Cupboard office. He received his award on Senior Day at the Isanti County Fair along with this year's other recipient Gladys Shelley, and he now moves on to the state-wide selection round. Congrats Lewis, and thanks for your hard work!
We are excited to feature a new article by Erv Skaar in our senior writings section. Erv shares "his story" by looking at his involvement with choir and theater groups throughout his life. Click here to read Erv's piece.
If you know someone who has their own story or article to share on our website, contact us to find out how to submit a writing.
Know of anyone looking for fun and meaningful volunteer opportunities? We have a variety of volunteer positions open and are looking for enthusiastic and committed volunteers. We have a special need for volunteers to help with shopping and/or chores. Most volunteers can plan on 1-2 hours per week, or every other week. Summer is a great time to find a service activity!
Interested? Visit our volunteer page or call (763) 552-9727 to learn more about what you can do to help us serve local seniors.
As of this update, we are 46% of the way to our goal of 2,000 volunteer hours. Thanks to all of our great volunteers for their service and commitment.
